Registering your swimmer for a swim meet
Parents,
When you are declaring the attendance for your swimmer, please check the appropriate box: Attending, Not Attending, or Attending, no relays. ALL DECLARATIONS in SwimTopia for your child to attend swimming meets must be made by midnight on Sunday, the week of the event for the following Saturday. If attendance is not declared, then your child will not be able to participate in that week’s swim meet. If you are going to be late or need to leave early from a swim meet, or not sure you will be attending a swim meet, please check the box, Attending, no relays. If you are then able to attend the swimming meet, your swimmer will not be swimming in a relay. It is much easier to scratch individual events than it is to scratch relays. Scratching a relay for one swimmer, that is a no show, means that three other swimmers are missing out on swimming in that relay. If you must leave early before the meet ends, please have your swimmer check with a coach before leaving.
